Rainy Remodel

There's nothing like being eight months pregnant and being awakened at 7:00 in the morning to the sound of your bedroom roof being sawed off.  Well, there is one thing that can compete with that: having no roof when a huge rainstorm comes.  That way you can keep your kids busy running through the house looking for dripping ceilings while your husband squeegees off the the tarps that are covering your house.

We are remodeling our house (ironically because our former roof was leaky) and plan to put up a new, steep roof as well as another floor above our current house.  In the meantime we are open to the elements and praying hard!

  1. AGH! If you were in Texas, I'd say you'd be fine, since we're having an awful drought and no sight of rain. Hope the remodel goes smoothly and quickly!

  2. It would be fine if you lived in Utah, but you currently live in Seattle. Best of speed!
