Blogging Advice

So, what does everyone do with their old blog posts? Do you print them out? Save them to a file? Not do anything?
Any good ideas?

  1. Hey, I have this same question...There is an online place where they can make them into books, but that costs $$$$ Let me know if you discover any better options.

  2. i just archive mine and have them all labeled so i can find them. maybe i will have them printed someday. blurb.com will print your blog into a book and it's reasonable, like $20 and less.

  5. A couple of my friends did the Blurb books and I'm in the process of working on mine. They said to use the premium paper. I'm not sure how much it costs, it depends on how many pages you have. I plan to make one every year. Check out my friend Lisa's post about her book.

And my friend Amber's post about hers. Read the comments too, if you want, there are a few more suggestions and prices I believe.

  6. okay, I just checked out blurb and, I could be wrong, but they posted that they do not support "blogger" anymore. So if you got a blogspot, you're out. Have you heard of this?

p.s. Jenny, what is your shoe size? I outgrew the greatest hiking shoes with this last pregnancy.

  7. Hey Missy,
I was noticing that on blurb as well. So why don't they like us here on blogger?

    My shoe size is 8-81/2.

  8. Jenny, Yes, I'm blog stocking you. Ever since Clint and I stayed up late one night laughing over your peach entry, I've had to come back and see what else you had to say!
Anyway, I was concerned about the comment here about Blurb not supporting blogger! Here's what I found on the blurb site.

"This week has not been kind to our blog slurpers. TypePad, WordPress.com, and Blogger are all bugged out on BookSmart. For some reason, these platforms made changes in their APIs, in essence how their code talks to our code, and BookSmart can’t recognize those changes. In other words, these slurpers aren’t able to do everything we want them to do at this time.

These problems have been escalated to the dev teams at TypePad, WordPress.com, and Blogger. Rest assured, once we hear from them and can get their code to work with BookSmart again, we’ll get your slurpers back up and running. You can still cut and paste your entries and comments, but we know that’s unacceptable and a major drag.

I have it on good authority that the TypePad slurper will be up and running again with our next release. Blogger and WordPress.com will follow.

That’s it for the update. I’m truly sorry I don’t have more news. I will definitely post more news when we have it. Until then, thanks very much for your patience.
